Outreach Office Volunteer

Latin American House is currently recruiting an Outreach office volunteer. The volunteer will provide support for the outreach coordinator in a number of different administrative and organizational tasks, including: to contact and visit clients in their home, assessing their needs; to do case-recording; to create and update contact lists of other relevant agencies; to promote services; to contact and organize meetings with volunteers; etc.

Successful applicants should have:

• A keen interest in the Latin American community
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
• Knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese
• Good level of word-processing and internet research skills
• A commitment of at least two days per week with a minimum 3 months
• Ability to work in a team as well as independently
