Course content & Structure

There are 2 levels of involvement:

 

1st Part: 27 of March. 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm (4 sessions) – Basics video techniques for video journalists.

You will learn how to create news reports using the media functionalities of your mobile phone and still camera. The workshop will focus on planning, shooting and distributing over the internet.

Resources: computer, mobile phone, still camera

 

2nd Part: (10 sessions maximum depending on project length) – Produce a short documentary

In a group of 4 to 6 people you will decide how you will approach a theme related to your local community. First you will access your equipment and needs to find solutions. Before going on filming your scenes you will learn shooting techniques based on situations and places.  Then you will edit the footage using professional software.  After multiples corrections and rehearsal, the film will be ready to show at a screening event (cine club and/or community event).
