Film & Theatre

Eating Myself // One-woman show by Pepa Duarte, exploring Latin American identity through food, family, and tradition. Part of the Peckham Fringe.

Family Film Club: Encanto (U) + Free Workshop // A screening of Disney’s hit film Encanto, plus a crafting workshop with Colombian artist Ivonne Vargas. Free to all children and their families.

FLAWA (Festival of Latin American Women in the Arts) // Festival showcasing arts, literature, music, dance, and theatre from Latin American women.

“Dignity and Resistance: Community pathways for resisting gendered urban violence in Rio de Janeiro and London” // Exhibition showcasing initiatives by women to fight gendered violence.

Guided Visit to the Pollock’s Toy Museum // Guided visit to the UK’s oldest toy museum with Latin American House, plus a game of Loteria! Spanish and Portuguese interpreters available.

Las Tertulias de la Casa: Amor a la Comida o Comida y Amor // Informal discussion groups at Latin American House on various  themes.

Creative Community Resistance – Brazilian migrant women in London // A conversation about how creative research methods can capture resistance against gendered violence among Brazilian migrants in London. Part of the Dignity and Resistance Exhibition.
