Latin American House’s Menchú Bilingual Nursery offers high-quality bilingual childcare and education in Kilburn, London. Through our diverse and welcoming atmosphere, we aim for each child to develop their own personality at their own pace, encouraging their self-expression, social confidence, natural curiosity and awareness of the needs of others.

A Day at Menchú

Our day at Menchú Nursery is structured as follows:

8am – 9am – Breakfast club
9am – 3pm – Nursery Day – we follow the government’s Early Years Framework
3pm – 5pm – After school activities / free play

All of our staff speak Spanish as a main language, so children will be hearing Spanish on a daily basis.

The School Year

We offer places for the Camden academic terms as well as full year provision for those parents who are working and need full year childcare.

Yes. Our fees are inclusive of meals, snacks, and milk.

Yes. We offer 15 free hours per week for all 3 and 4-year-olds, and 15 free hours for 2-year-old from low-income families. We also offer 30 free hours a week for working parents.

Our learning is mostly focused around stories, songs, crafts, and games. We also love to take every opportunity we can to take the children outdoors - whenever the weather allows, we put on our hi-vis vests and head to Kilburn Grange Park Playground!

We are fortunate to have a soft room where children can do more active and strenuous play on a daily basis as well - this room is one of the children’s favourites.

We follow the government's Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework. Activities are planned to cover all areas of a child development. The main areas to be developed are:

  • Communication and language
  • Physical development
  • Personal, social and emotional development

As children grow they will be able to develop in the following areas:

  • Literacy
  • Mathematics
  • Understanding the world
  • Expressive arts and design
