Spanish Saturday School
Our Spanish Saturday School is mainly aimed at Spanish-speaking families who want their children to learn, socialize, and play in Spanish. We are also open to children from other backgrounds who wish to learn Spanish, including children who have previously attended Centro Infantil Menchú.
We offer both in-person and online classes, for children from Reception to Year 6. Our Spanish classes run every Saturday during school term time.
Our learning is based on basic reading, writing, and conversation skills, with a playful and interactive approach. Children learn about grammar, spelling, and vocabulary, but they also write poems and plays, sing songs, and have fun with classmates from all over the world.
2023-24
Term Dates
Autumn Term (13 weeks): 16th Sept 2023 to 16th Dec 2023 (half-term 28th October 2023)
Spring Term (11 weeks): 6th Jan 2024 to 23rd March 2024 (half-term 17th February 2024)
Summer Term (12 weeks): 20th April 2024 to 13th July 2024 (half-term 1st June 2024)
In-Person Classes
- Saturdays at Latin American House
- 10AM – 1PM
- £285 per term

Our younger groups focus on creative expression through crafts, stories, poems, songs, and plays.
Older children work on basic reading and writing skills, like vocabulary, spelling, and grammar, all while learning about Latin American cultures.
Children learn in a fun way, supported by our experienced teachers and volunteers. Meanwhile, interaction with other children in Spanish helps them gain confidence and improve their communications skills
Groups are organised as follows (around 15 children per group):
- Clase Quito – Reception
- Clase Santiago – Year 1
- Clase Lima – Year 2
- Clase Galapagos – Year 3 – 4
- Clase Buenos Aires – Year 5 – 6
Online Classes
- Saturdays on Zoom
- 2:30PM – 3:30PM
- £95 per term
- £85 per term with sibling discount*
These classes are ideal for those who cannot attend our in-person classes in Kilburn – you don’t even have to live in London!
These fun and interactive sessions are designed for smaller groups and have a shorter run-time to ensure the kids stay engaged.
For the little ones, we focus on spoken Spanish with games, stories, and songs. Classes for older children are conversation-based up to GCSE level.
Groups are organised as follows (max 10 children per group):
- Clase Bogota – 10 yrs old and under (approx)
- Clase Caracas – 11 years and over (approx)
Pre-GCSE Spanish Classes
- Tuesdays
- Online on Zoom
- 5 PM
Latin American House now offers Spanish classes for pre-GSCE level (A1) Spanish. Classes take place online on Tuesdays at 5 PM, and are split into two groups: 10-12 years old and 13-17 years old.
These classes are designed for older children compared to our Saturday sessions, and are delivered by our fantastic team of native Spanish speakers.
